i wanted to see him announce his retirement as he hoisted the mvp trophy. and ride off into the sunset like some silver screen cowboy. instead the cowboy shot his own ass off.
while the giants were running the ball 39 times and taking up almost double the time of possession, brett farve was throwing incompletions and interceptions. they only attempted to run the ball 14 times. 14 times. for 28 yards. it don’t matter if your quarterback is joe montana, or wait, tom brady.
i mean, really. how many times did green bay go three and out with a chance to put the game away? and how many field goals did they think tynes was gonna miss?
and the chargers never had a chance. LT would have helped.
how big would it be for the giants to knock off the pats? the new york giants have never seen an explosion in consumer fan base like this in its history.
i’m rooting for eli manning to go out with a strained pinky toe or something and fat boy, jared lorenzen come in and win the superbowl. story book fashion. lorenzen played for the university of kentucky. that’s how blue my blood is.

great article cal…glad our minds were in the same spot…go J-Lo!
Give the guy a break, he is after all, what, 38 years old?
It was a disappointing loss – maybe loss isn’t the best description – it was a disappointing give-away. They did give Eli and buddies way too many chances to win. And when you give any team that many do-overs, they will eventually win, even in OT.
I even had my #4 jersey all ready to wear to work on Monday but quickly axed that idea during the 4th qtr. Now I’m just hoping to see a great upset by baby Eli on the 3rd.
