big blue L?

Big Blue L?

I don’t think you ever win by losing.  But I did see some progress with the Cats on Sunday.  Which is I guess something.

Where has that effort been all year?

Maybe Jasper feels better; maybe Harris and Stevenson are feeling more confident, maybe Porter feels like he doesn’t suck so bad…

Whatever it was, I’d like to see more of that Wednesday at South Carolina.

They did a great job of using up the shot clock and reducing the number of offensive possessions Tennessee had.  I guess that one goes to the coach.

But what made the game so great; they executed good offense at the end of the shot clock and made some baskets.  Until they were so tired they ran out of gas at the end of the game.  You ever seen Ramel huffing and puffing like that?  Brother was tired.

They need to win that game, the Florida game on senior night and then win a game or two in the SEC tourney to get into the NCAA’s I think.  Can we do that with Ramon Harris having to play 40 minutes?

I do like what I saw though and it gives me a little hope for next season.  I think finally the players and the coach are on the same page.  At least I think they are speaking the same language.

There are still a lot of “ifs” like “if” Perry Stevenson can continue to improve, “if” Harris can productive or play significant minutes, “if” Jodie Meeks comes back as good as we all think he is….

What I don’t like is for Doug Gottleib to be calling Patrick Patterson a lottery pick on the radio.  Don’t nobody need to hear that noise.  Pat’s momma already done said he gonna play all four years and get him a degree.  Until momma sees that dump truck full of money on her lawn…

Up the creek is what we are if he goes pro.

I’m really hoping that young fella comes back.
